Planned route got diverted as I found a skip with a lot of useful looking bits of clean wood in it so ran home to get the car to take it home in. By then I'd done 9k and after the skipdiving interlude I ran another 5.5k loop before dark.

Distance includes the 300m I ran from my van to the start, so a wee bit short of the full distance if my Garmin is to believed. 4 circuits of 10.5k with uphill bits but also a lot of long slow descents so not really as bad as I'd feared. Still slowed down with every circuit and ended up being last with a time just inside the 5 hours.
